TAS Annual Conference COVID Policy

As you know, the Texas Academy of Science Annual Conference will be held face-to-face this year on the University of Houston-Clear Lake campus. For the safety and comfort of all participants, UHCL and TAS recommends that all participants, regardless of vaccination status, observe the following precautions:

  • Wear a face mask. (Per UHCL policy, facemasks are NOT required on campus, but you may choose to wear one.)
  • Maintain physical distance when possible, based on the current CDC guidelines.
  • Wash hands frequently.

It is strongly recommended that all participants be fully vaccinated prior to attending one of our in-person live events. Vaccines not only help stop the spread but have proven effective in eliminating the most serious COVID health risks for most people.

Participants should not attend an in-person event if they have any indication of COVID-19 symptoms, test positive for COVID-19, or have been exposed to someone with symptoms or someone suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19.
