The 2017 meeting was a great success, with a higher attendance rate than we have had in recent history! Thanks to all our great members for making the events a success. If you missed this year's meeting - don't worry! You can still view the abstracts and schedule from the menu, and we will soon post the permanent links for the program as well.
Texas Journal of Science: Andy Kasner and Alan Nelson continue to work tirelessly to get the Journal caught up. Volume 67 (2015) should be going out within a month and the 2016 volume(s) will follow shortly thereafter. By the 2017 annual meeting, I hope to report to everyone that the Journal will be caught up! We are also now actively seeking new manuscript submissions so please consider the Texas Journal of Science as you prepare future manuscripts.
Get Involved: TAS needs you! One of the great things about TAS is its fundamental structure - the Academy's operations are handled exclusively by volunteers. Join now to start getting involved, and if you are a current member, think about getting more involved - we are always looking for volunteers (section chairs, meeting hosts, board members, and more!).
TAS Statement in Support of Science: On April 22, there are numerous Earth day and science activities planned throughout the state. In support of science education and research, and to reflect TAS's general support of science, the TAS board has approved the following statement.
PLEASE NOTE - if you were a student member who graduated or are no longer a student and want to remain a member, please contact us prior to renewing your membership! If you need to change your membership type for some other reason, just send us as email and we can help you out.
We have a new FAQ available for frequently asked questions! Have a question about membership, logging in, registration, or anything else? Check the FAQ first! (Last link on the menu)
In the next TAS meeting (March 2017) we will be voting on changes to the bylaws and constitution. Click here to see the changes and submit your feedback on the revisions.
